So after a day of complete charm overload on Saturday, we continued to celebrate into the night.  Sandy and Pam's "personal jewelers"  threw us a private cocktail party at Krombholz Jewelry Store.  That's so cute, I wish I had my own private jeweler.  Representatives from Hug Jewelers were also there and they both had a huge spread of new and vintage charms and bracelets for us to purchase.  It was so fun.   They had snacks and beverages for us too.  Kromboltz is the jeweler that designed and made our group's 5 Year Anniversary Hearts last year.  And Hug Jewelers designed the cutest Pob's Pub charm for Pam, who gave us each one as a souvenir.  I just love it.

I purchased a  beautiful gold reindeer and silver puffy heart that evening at a great price.  Lee from Krombholz told me he would rather see the jewelry go to collectors that genuinely appreciate it than to sit in the display cases for who knows how long.  Each jeweler also had a drawing for a prize charm.  Hug gave a 14K gold Cincinnati Fountain charm, and Krombholz gave a 14K Anniversary Heart with a diamond. Lisa P and Shelly were the lucky winners.  And we each left with a container of Krombholz jewelry cleaner as a gift.  They went over the top to welcome us and we all left with a special charm, or two, or three, four, five.......

Then we walked a short distance over to the Montgomery Inn for dinner.  They are well known for their barbeque ribs.  We had a private dining room there and a delicious dinner, followed by a Yankee gift exchange.  We had games such as "guess the number of M&Ms in the charm storage case" and win it.  There were also lots of door prizes and a drawing was held for the yearly ICBD bracelet, which went to Lisa C.

ICBD stands for International Charm Bracelet Day.  It occurs every year on October 21st.  I have never participated but I'll try to explain as much as I know of the event.  Every year the group votes on a theme far in advance and everyone picks a charm they want to contribute and writes a story about themselves relevant to the theme.  They are all sent to the person in charge of the holiday that year who assembles everything onto a bracelet and then a drawing is held to determine the winner for that year.  Once a person wins they can't win again.  And the coolest part is that on October 21st the group has a virtual party on our forum complete with travel arrangements, food, lots of adult beverages, and even a bathroom line and clean up crew.  It's complete with everything a party should have.  Joan started this tradition when she formed the group and they have celebrated ever since.

After the dinner festivities everyone went back to the hotel and some of the hard liners actually went back to the conference room in their p.j.s for a charm-a-thon slumber party.  Not me I was exhausted and slept like a baby.   I'll wrap up the details of the charm weekend in the next post so check back in a couple of days.   Photo's below are once again courtesy of Sandy of Yogiw"s A Genuine Find.  Thanks so much Sandy.
