My collection of vintage sterling advertising matchbook charms is growing more colorful. I’m always on the lookout for more.
Question for my readers – Do any of you collect vintage Monet charms? If so what kind? Do you collect a particular theme, a metal color, etc. Are you happy with them, as in are they comfortable to wear? And do you have any specific likes or dislikes?
Show and tell with my newly assembled vintage sterling silver Creed and Hayward angel charm bracelet. All winged angel girls are performing hobby and professional activities.
Sharing my latest TLM enameled vintage charm bracelet. This one is all round charms, mostly Caribbean Islands, and they are more difficult to find than the enameled maps Thomas Mott is known for.
I finished another style of enamel Zodiac charm bracelet. This one has straight edges. I used an oval link bracelet with etching on every other link. The sister clasp is my favorite style.
Wishing everyone a blessed and happy Easter from Charmchatter
I love love love looking at vintage jewelry ads from old magazines. I’ve purchased a few online and at flea markets. They can get pricey though so lately I’ve been “collecting” them on Pinterest. It’s easy and fun. Not quite as fun as having a real glossy paper advertisement in my hands but I can […]
This is another bracelet for which I’ve had charms stashed in a bag for a long time. I’ve just kept the flat sterling silver and enamel Christmas charms from bracelets that I’ve bought to strip apart and sell. One reason I love my job 🙂 . There is a Christmas charm on every other link […]
Just today I received the last couple of charms needed to finish 2 of the Zodiac theme bracelets I’ve been collecting. Both are colorful enamel bracelets. The first is a baked enamel shield style. I selected a dot / dash bracelet with a sister clasp to showcase these charms. There are extra links in the […]
This red white and blue Christmas tree pin sold from my eBay store today so I thought I would share one last picture before it goes to it’s new home. Happy Independence Day everybody.
I’ve had a stash of sterling charms from the old Las Vegas Casinos for a while. Not the casinos from the new strip, but back when downtown was the center of activity. Back when the Rat Pack played there. Today I decided to put them on a bracelet. I got the idea from a woman […]
On Mother’s Day this year my oldest son and his girlfriend gave me an addition to my Pandora charm bracelet. It’s a sterling silver dangly that reads “Loving Mother”. I decided to make a video to show you. My first video on Youtube. I bought an iPhone and wanted to give it a try. […]
Let me share my newest Thomas L Mott charm I’ve added to my collection. It’s one I’ve never seen before and I happened upon it by accident.
Just a quick note to show you the wooden Nuvo charms I bought on eBay. They have the older mark. The new mark has the word Nuvo written out. They are in great condition and I didn’t pay very much for them so I’m not sure if I got a really good deal of they […]
I just found these 2 Longaberger Basket charms in the way back recesses of my safe and thought I’d see if anyone else has any. They are both stamped 14K and Longaberger. The small one is flat on the back and has some dimensional detail on the front. The larger one is completely figural. It […]
First the non-charm stuff – Today is my first day of being completely self-employed. I’ve decided to ditch the corporate job and make a go of it on my own. It feels great. Scary but great. My stress level is down 500 percent. That may not be the case in a few months if I’m […]
I’ve always been a traditional charm bracelet type of girl. I like the old fashioned charms that attach with jump rings. I’ve collected that style of bracelet for quite a few years and have lots of different vintage charm bracelets. This year I decided to try something different. My kids always ask me what I […]
This week I was elated to be able to buy a Thomas L Mott charm bracelet form the estate of Joan Munkacsi. Joan was a mentor to many charm collectors and Thomas L Mott are my favorite charms so I think I was meant to own this piece. It’s the centerpiece of my TLM collection now. See more of Joan’s extensive collection as it’s offered on eBay.
