Vintage Charms as Graduation Gifts
Charm bracelets are a traditional gift for a young woman graduating from high school or college. It's a nice way to commemorate such a special event with a keepsake that she can wear on any occasion. I presented my daughter with a 14K gold charm bracelet upon her high school graduation and she treasures it still.
My daughters bracelet - pictured below - has a vintage charm for each of the activities she participated in as she was growing up. There is a ballerina, treble music clef for her chorus classes, a miniature Academy Award Oscar statue for her theater work, a panther paw to represent her high school mascot, a megaphone because she was a high school cheerleader, a graduation girl in cap and gown for the signature event, and several more. I had a lot of fun finding the vintage gold charms. They were collected over a period of several years. I bought them one at a time as my budget permitted in anticipation of the big event.
They're easy to come by now days due to the internet and sites like Ruby Lane, Bonanzle, and eBay. Prices range from very reasonable for nice sterling silver charms to quite pricey for the gold ones. Gold prices have certainly gone up since I bought mine. Why not consider a vintage charm bracelet for your loved one's graduation? Here are some for sale on the eBay site right now.

What I love about places like eBay is how easy it is to find dates that might be suitable for an anniversary remembrance charm. So if you graduated in a particular year but didn’t buy a charm then, there is still every possibility of finding one on eBay as older charms find their way into the market place.
