Fitzcharming Collects Starbucks Coffee Mugs
Here's another of a continuing series of articles about my collections (other than vintage charms). I became interested in Starbucks coffee mugs several years ago when I bought a large 18 ounce Christmas mug at an estate sale. It was a blue snowflake mug and I loved it because it was nice and big and had the cutest little snowflake on the inside rim. I knew if there was one, then there were most certainly more so I searched eBay and found 1) a mate so I would have a pair of the same design, and 2) many, many more collectible Starbucks mugs for sale.
Of course I was drawn in by the pretty colors and designs, but there were literally hundreds of patterns and styles so I knew I would have to limit myself to certain categories. I decided to stick with the large Christmas mugs, and I also found some that had Impressionist painting scenes on them. The ones I liked also have a little Starbucks logo or Signature tucked somewhere in the midst of the original painting. One more set that I couldn’t live without is the “I Love My Owners A Latte” pair of dog and cat mugs. These are pretty rare now as I almost never see them on eBay anymore.
Starbucks coffee mugs were first offered in 1994 and there are several different collectors series available. Like all collectibles the early ones are getting harder to find and more valuable. Anyone who is interested in learning about the different series of mugs that are available can search for “Starbucks mug collections” on Google and find dozens of related articles. There are folks that have electronically cataloged every Starbucks mug ever made. I find them lots of fun to collect and display in my home.

Hi, Wanda. I am really enjoying your web site. I have been collecting charms since my mother started a bracelet for me on my 10th birthday (over 40 years ago). A friend collects Starbucks Christmas mugs, and I’m wondering if you sell, too, or simply collect and share photos. If you sell, what is the price of the set of 4 in the first photo above – – I think they’re from Starbucks 2002 series (abstract green trees, green argyle-style, cobalt and red snowflakes)?
