Charms To Collect – Why $449 ?
Does anybody know why this book is so expensive? I've been watching it for several years and it's always been like this. It's not even a hardback. Early on I saw it on Amazon for around $60 and I should have bought it but I didn't. I was thinking at the time "how could it even be worth $60"? But now I wish I had because I've never seen it for anywhere near that price again. If nothing else it was worth $60 to satisfy my curiosity all these years. I checked other online sources and Alibris has it for $300. Is that a bargain? Our local library's copy is mysteriously missing, no surprise there. If anybody has a copy can you please enlighten me?

I’m gobsmacked! $449!
I note on the Amazon page that most people who view the book actually go on to buy a different book priced at $29.54.
A review of it describes it as “the ultimative start-guide for charm collectors” but at that price I would expect it to a real resource book for the collector.
‘fraid I’d rather spend my money on actual charms rather than a book.
Sometimes you find these more expensive books being sold second hand on Amazon and I’ve picked up some real bargains that way. It’s possible to save hundreds of dollars.
We’ll be clambering over each other if that one ever comes up second hand!
I would like to know the answer to that question also. You can look at the pages on amazon. I just can’t see paying that price for a book.
Hmmmm…will have to check my library…for that much $$ it better come with charms..hahahah
