Flea Market Charms

Vintage JewelryYesterday I took a day off from work and drove over to Indian Rocks Beach on the Gulf Coast of Florida.  I went to visit my friend Karen from my charm group, who is visiting from New Hampshire. The weather was gorgeous and we went to the flea market in Seminole, which is an every Wednesday morning event.  We had so much fun and I can’t believe the treasures I found.  I bought several great sterling charms and a bracelet, a vintage Monet charm bracelet, and a Monet starfish pin.  I also got some books and magazines for next to nothing.

I love flea markets more and more every day.  I will be going back in a few weeks before Karen heads back north.  It’s a perfect day trip for me. Look for most of the charms for sale in my eBay store, Charmcrazey, within the next day or two.  The little silver astronaut is going on my Florida Tourist Attractions before Disney bracelet.  I’ve been looking for one for a long time and he’s a keeper.

I just got 10 charm bracelets (none SS) at an auction, one was a mary poppins one, I love charms. I’m especially interested in buddhas. Love your blog and website. Gretchen

Wow 10 charm bracelets. I would be in heaven. I’ve not been to a real auction but think I should look for one soon.

What fun a true Flea Market can be. Our Flea Market changed out in CO and became nothing but a bunch of “vendors” selling mass produced “out of the coutry” new cheap items…no longer a true Flea Market. I’m going to need to locate one out of state.

Would you consider doing an articale about Charms and Charm Bracelets and a great way to store them safely for years to come. My collection that I started is intended to be passed onto my granddaughter (she is 2) and I don’t know how to protect them for storing them. The safe I own says Jewelry isn’t to be kept insie of it. Hmm, what do we do with precious metals and stones jewelry.
